Saint-Gobain invests in Megasol

Close partnership between Megasol and Saint-Gobain

The two companies are jointly entering into a global sales partnership. To this end, Saint-Gobain is taking a minority stake in Megasol. Markus Gisler, CEO of Megasol: "With its sustainable building strategy, its extensive know-how regarding glazing and building envelopes, and its global presence, Saint-Gobain is the ideal partner for a rapid development of our business with active solar building materials." The aim is to further strengthen the global distribution of solar active building materials and solar modules.

Expansion of Swiss production

Through the cooperation, Megasol gains support in entering new sales markets thanks to its local presence in 76 countries. Megasol is planning a massive expansion of production capacity in Switzerland at its current site in Deitingen.

Continuity in day-to-day business

The daily business and the contact persons remain the same with the new cooperation. As usual, consulting and sales will be handled by the trusted partners in Megasol Energie AG. Continuity will also be maintained in terms of legal form, company name, logos and brand.

Previous management - extended Board of Directors

All current members of the Executive Committee Markus Gisler, Daniel Sägesser and Terence Hänni will remain in their current functions. In addition to the members of the Executive Committee, Volkmar Offermann from Saint-Gobain will join the Board of Directors.
