ZRM+: The new standard for glare-free photovoltaics

Photovoltaic systems are widely accepted – but in densely built-up areas, at transport hubs or near airports, the requirements for glare-free surfaces are extremely strict. With ZRM+, Megasol has further developed its proven ZeroReflect technology: a solar glass surface that sets new standards in reflection reduction.

Glare-free thanks to ZRM+

While conventional solar glass can cause reflections when the sun is at an unfavourable angle, the microscopically structured ZRM+ surface eliminates these almost completely. Independent tests conducted by Bern University of Applied Sciences confirm its impressive performance.

 

Constant ‘low glare’ values:
Even when exposed to steep sunlight, the luminance remains at an extremely low level of approx. 3,000 cd/m². By comparison, a conventional PC monitor emits approx. 250 cd/m².

Safety even at flat angles:
Critical glare often begins at 50,000 cd/m². Even at an extreme angle of incidence of 70°, ZRM+ modules remain well below this limit at around 29,000 cd/m². This is a significant improvement over other technologies, which often already reached critical values in this range.

The glare assessment by Bern University of Applied Sciences confirms that the ZRM+ surface remains outside the critical glare range at every angle of the sun.
